The "Better Outside" Initiative

Introducing the “Better Outside” Initiative!
This month I am starting fundraising in partnership with the Lake George Land Conservancy. The Better Outside Initiative is a series of stewardship projects that help to contribute to conservation efforts, expanding access to wild places, and educational efforts to increase awareness of outdoor issues. This initiative encapsulates my belief that we are all better when we are outside, and we all have a duty to make the outside better.
Kicking off on National Trails Day, June 4th, 2022 – follow along with me as I hike 5 of the trails that are part of the Lake George Land Conservancy lands, bringing awareness to these public access trails and raising money to help bolster future efforts of the LGLC over the course of a month. The project culminates in the LGLC’s Hike-a-thon event on July 5, 2022!

Stewardship Resources
The outdoors is for everyone but that also means it is the responsibility of everyone to take care of our wild and outdoors spaces. Education is key – it’s impossible to know everything right from the start, but continuously learning about your surroundings and what you can do to improve them and lessen your own impact is so important. The more people that fall in love with nature, the more people that will have a vested interest in protecting it – and it will require all of us to preserve this precious earth.
