NY Lodging Review: The Loft Keene

I recently discovered a really cute rustic AirBNB cabin in Keene, NY so over Thanksgiving weekend my daughter and I decided to have a girls weekend in order to get some hikes done and check out the place. The place is called The Loft Keene and just like the name says, it’s right in the heart of Keene, making it very accessible and easy to get around. Here are some of the things I loved about @theloftkeene 😍

🏔LOCATION: As a hiker it was a prime spot to be because each of the hikes I considered doing with my daughter were all within a 10-15 minute drive – and there are a lot of great options to choose from in this area! It is right in the middle of the High Peaks region, so anyone looking to bag a bunch of High Peaks without doing any backcountry or primitive camping, this would be a prime spot for you!

🌲VIBE: From the second I walked in the door, I was in love with the place. The vibe was really rustic and cozy, and it felt like we were in a cabin in the woods, with some modern touches. The decor was on-point and definitely the kind of look and feel I want to see as a hiker. There were also a lot of little touches I appreciated – such as the stained glass windows with fun outdoorsy images, the propane stove that looked like a fireplace, the books and games they had stocked, and best of all, the hammock in the floor upstairs!

👍CONVENIENCE: The listing calls the place “minimal” but the only thing minimal about it was the amount of thinking you had to do. The owners have really thought of everything for you in advance – the place is fully furnished with the ability to cook anything you need in the kitchen, plus they stocked the cabinets with some common things people need while traveling that are often forgotten. Shampoo and soap in the bathroom. Fresh towels. Wifi is available, plus a TV where you can log into your streaming apps, and a small room in the back that serves as an office space in case you need to do any work while you are here. Someone please tell my boss I’ll be working remote from here on out!

🧼 CLEANLINESS: The place was immaculately clean and fresh, no exaggeration. That’s always a huge plus!

👍CUSTOMER SERVICE: The owners were very friendly and helpful through the whole process! They were very responsive during the booking process, and were even available quickly when I had some questions during our stay.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I completely enjoyed my stay @theloftkeene and I would definitely recommend it to my fellow ADK hikers! You can check them out on Instagram, or take a look at their listing on AirBNB. They are definitely added to my permanent wishlist for Adirondacks trips!

Small touches like this welcome sign were everywhere!
The main room as you walk in the front door.
To the left of the main room, a propane stove to help keep you warm during the winter months!
We loved eating in the kitchen!
Fully stocked kitchen has everything available for making meals and even some basic ingredients and staples in case you forgot something!
An office area for you to do some work if needed, plus great WIFI!
The hallway from the kitchen leading to the bathroom, looking out from the office area.
A close up view of the rustic decor for the bathroom sinks! I love the style here!
This was upstairs - it's a hammock in the floor! My daughter loved this feature the best and spent so much time hanging out here!
We spent some time reading together in the hammock. The area comes stocked with blankets and books!
The house is located in the middle of Keene, walking distance from Stewarts and some other local businesses, but yet, the yard was still very private and hidden away!
